Originally aired on May 7th, 2006
This week's Pennsylvania Newsmakers highlights further discussion of the higher education study, "A Rising Tide", with State System Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs, Peter Garland--who talks about college participation rates, the reasons why young people attend or do not attend college, and the remediation of college bound students. Then joining host Terry Madonna are Amy Worden of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and John Micek of the Allentown Call, who discuss the property tax proposal just considered--but not yet approved by the state legislature--and its implications for residents of the state.
