Introducing the Pennsylvania Newsmakers Business Council

This week we introduce a new program offering of Pennsylvania Newsmakers: the monthly Business Council. This first Business Council focuses on the state of the economy in the Commonwealth, with special emphasis on the rising cost of health care for the business community, the concerns over the state's tax policies, and the prospects for a quick recovery of the economy. Council members Ed Saxon, Chair of SMC Business Councils, and Kevin Shivers, Pa Director of the National Federation of Independent Business, join host G. Terry Madonna. In a spotlight segment, Charles Gerow from Bring Our Taxes Home (BOTH) provides an update on the proposal to have slot machines at the state's race tracks.
